Bank of America continues to make its mark as one of the world’s leading corporate supporters of the arts, and announces that grant applications are now open for the 2017 Bank of America Arts Conservation Project. The company welcomes and encourages applications from nonprofit cultural institutions with art requiring conservation. Bank of America marks the 20th anniversary of the Museums on Us program with the announcement of new institutions being added to the participating museum roster. Museums on Us provides Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and U.S. Trust credit and debit cardholders free general admission to experience more than 175 of the country’s most prominent cultural institutions across 109 cities in 33 states on the first full weekend of every month.

Bank of America has awarded an Art Conservation Project grant to Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University to restore “Window” by Richard Diebenkorn. As a unique opportunity to support the intersection of art and science, funding from this highly competitive global arts conservation program will allow further research into an underpainting that was discovered using a digital infrared camera by a Stanford-based art fellow at Cantor’s Art + Science Lab.

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is the recipient of a $1 million grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation, which will support two critical TNC initiatives. The first initiative focuses on using the comprehensive system-scale planning approach to help countries balance the generation of renewable energy and the conservation of rivers that provide food, livelihoods and many other values to people – particularly in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

(RED) and Bank of America are once again joining forces on Thursday, December 1, World AIDS Day, to help end mother-to-child transmission of HIV in Africa. Since January 2014, Bank of America has contributed $10 million to the Global Fund through its partnership with (RED), and earlier this year announced its partnership extension that will bring the overall total to fight AIDS to $20 million by 2020.

Bank of America, in partnership with (RED)®, today launched a nationwide campaign featuring photos of healthy HIV-positive mothers and their HIV-negative children in Zambia.
