NYU Langone Health announced today that more than $2 million was raised at the Bank of America Annual Art Auction on December 13 in Manhattan. The auction, which included works from the company’s own collection, was conducted by Sotheby’s and featured prominent artwork from Andy Warhol, Norman Rockwell and David Hockney, among others. All proceeds from the auction will be used to expand NYU Langone’s services to help support veterans and their families.

Bank of America, (RED) and Amazon are joining forces this World AIDS Day and throughout the holiday season to raise awareness and funds to end the transmission of HIV from mothers to their babies in sub-Saharan Africa. The three organizations are combining their resources through (SHOPATHON)RED, creating an easy way for consumers to get involved and get us one step closer to an AIDS-free generation.

Bank of America announces that the company will provide grant funding to 21 major art restoration projects in six countries, through the 2017 Bank of America Art Conservation Project. A selection of the historically and culturally significant works in danger of deterioration that will benefit from the grants includes:

Bank of America today announced that it is directing $1 million in funding from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation to aid the victims of Hurricane Irma, including $250,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, with the remainder to be allocated when an assessment is completed regarding specific recovery needs.

Bank of America has awarded an Art Conservation Project grant to Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University to restore “Window” by Richard Diebenkorn. As a unique opportunity to support the intersection of art and science, funding from this highly competitive global arts conservation program will allow further research into an underpainting that was discovered using a digital infrared camera by a Stanford-based art fellow at Cantor’s Art + Science Lab.

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is the recipient of a $1 million grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation, which will support two critical TNC initiatives. The first initiative focuses on using the comprehensive system-scale planning approach to help countries balance the generation of renewable energy and the conservation of rivers that provide food, livelihoods and many other values to people – particularly in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

(RED) and Bank of America are once again joining forces on Thursday, December 1, World AIDS Day, to help end mother-to-child transmission of HIV in Africa. Since January 2014, Bank of America has contributed $10 million to the Global Fund through its partnership with (RED), and earlier this year announced its partnership extension that will bring the overall total to fight AIDS to $20 million by 2020.
