Bank of America today announced that Adriana Kong Romero has been named market president for Tucson and Southern Arizona.

As part of its commitment to small business, Bank of America today announced that it has reached its goal of hiring more than 1,000 small business bankers nationally. In addition, Bank of America announced that it has extended nearly $8.7 billion in new credit to small businesses in 2012 – an increase of 28 percent over 2011. The bank’s combined new and renewal small business lending totaled nearly $20 billion.

Bank of America today announced that it has hired more than 130 small business bankers throughout Florida to provide guidance to local small business owners. The additions are part of the company’s previously announced plan to hire approximately 1,000 small business bankers nationwide.

Bank of America today announced that Gary Gore has been named Virginia president in addition to his role as Richmond market president for the company.

Bank of America today announced that Deon Pitsor has been named Iowa state president.

As state president, Pitsor will help the company deliver a wide range of global financial services to more individuals and businesses locally as well as deepen relationships with existing customers.

The Bank of America Corporation Board of Directors today appointed Sharon Allen, former Deloitte LLP chairman, Jack Bovender, former HCA Inc. chairman and chief executive officer, Linda Hudson, president and CEO of BAE Systems Inc., and David Yost, former CEO of AmerisourceBergen Corp., as new directors. The appointments are effective immediately.

Bank of America today named Howard Boville global head of network operations and engineering. Boville will be based in New York and will report to Bank of America Technology Infrastructure Executive David Reilly.

Boville will oversee the infrastructure and operations that enable the company to securely move data, voice, audio and video throughout its businesses.

In a continued move to invest in the build out of its Global Transaction Services business, Bank of America Merrill Lynch today announced two senior appointments. Bill Borden has been named managing director and head of North America Product Solutions and Dennis Sweeney has been named managing director and a Treasury Solutions Executive. They will both join in September and be based in New York.

A native who has called Maine home for most of his life, Williamson has been with the company since joining a predecessor institution in 1981.
