DES MOINES, Iowa, April 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Bank of America today announced the appointment of Deon Pitsor as The Private Bank's new City Executive in Des Moines, Iowa, and was named to the additional roles of Iowa State President and Des Moines Market President.

Mr. Pitsor is a native of Hampton, Iowa and will be located in the bank's downtown Des Moines offices. As market president for the bank, his responsibilities will be to integrate and focus the company's local resources to generate revenue and strategic business growth for the bank's many diverse services and products. In addition, he will also lead civic and philanthropic initiatives to enhance the way Bank of America business units work together to serve customers and communities.

Mr. Pitsor first joined the bank in Kansas City in 1986. Over the years, he has represented several lines of business for the bank, including business banking, global finance, correspondent banking and the Private Bank. Most recently he was market manager of the Home Builder Division in Kansas City until assuming his current position of market and state president for Iowa.

Mr. Pitsor will be relocating to Des Moines from Lenexa, Kansas with his wife and two sons. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1980 with a Bachelors of Business Administration and he received an MBA from the University of Missouri - Kansas City in 1987.
