Bank of America Names Thomas E. Goode Richmond Market President

RICHMOND, Va., Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Bank of America Mid-Atlantic President William Couper today announced that Thomas E. Goode has been named market president for the Richmond area.

As market president, Goode will provide business, civic and philanthropic leadership for Bank of America throughout Greater Richmond. He will work to strengthen communication and integration among the company's local business lines and strive to continuously improve customer experience, grow revenue in the region and represent Bank of America in the community.

As market president, Goode will lead a cross-functional team of seasoned banking leaders with many years of experience in the community. In addition to his market president duties, Goode will continue to serve as the Premier Banking & Investments market manager for the Richmond area. Premier Banking & Investments delivers integrated banking and investment services to affluent clients through its network of experienced client managers and financial advisors across the company's national footprint.

Goode began his career with First & Merchants National Bank, a legacy Bank of America institution, in 1979. Since then, he has held a number of leadership positions within the organization. He has served as the Premier Banking & Investments Richmond market manager since 1993.

Goode is active in the community and currently serves on the boards of the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges, Leadership Metro Richmond and the United Way of Richmond, where he also chairs the finance committee.

As Richmond market president, Goode succeeds Peter J. Schleck, who is relocating to Norfolk to pursue another assignment with Bank of America.

Goode received a graduate degree from the University of Virginia's School of Bank Management in 1994. He performed his undergraduate work at Hampton- Sydney College in Virginia, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in economics in 1979.

Goode was born in 1957 and currently resides in Richmond with his wife, Missy, and two children, Joe and Emmy. He has resided in Virginia for 48 years and has lived in Richmond since 1957.
