Bank of America Names First Technology Fellows

Four honored for Outstanding Accomplishments

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Bank of America today recognized four technology associates for outstanding individual contributions by naming them Bank of America Technology Fellows in what is believed to be among the first such programs for a U.S. financial institution.

The bank's Technology Fellow Program is designed as a highly selective annual award to honor exceptional individuals whose extraordinary career accomplishments in technology have helped drive business growth.

  The first honorees are:

  -- Peter Buchhop, of Cary, IL, a Senior Technology Manager in the Network
     Computing Group, a key leader in developing the bank's industry-leading
     Mobile Banking technology;

  -- William "B.J." Fesq, of New Providence, NJ, a Senior Architecture
     Manager in Capital Markets and Wholesale Banking Technology &
     Operations, whose achievements include advances in Technology Portfolio
     Management and Knowledge Sharing & Associate Development;

  -- Tim Guerry, of Cornelius, NC, an Architecture Executive in Consumer &
     Corporate Staff Technology, who developed and championed solutions
     addressing future systems growth; and

  -- Tony Flora, of Manakin Sabot, VA, a Technology Business Executive in
     Network Computing Group, the thought leader for a number of major
     strategic technology initiatives for the Consumer bank and its
     customers.

The program, which adopts best practices of leading technology corporations, is aimed at recruiting and retaining top individuals.

Managers nominated senior technology associates who have demonstrated leadership, advanced technical contributions, innovative technology solutions, and sustainable business results for business partners and the broader enterprise. Nominations were extensively reviewed and evaluated by the bank's Technology leadership team before the four honorees were chosen.

  While maintaining their current responsibilities, honorees will also:

  -- Act as technical and business experts

  -- Serve as technology representatives or liaisons within the company

  -- Serve as information sources for and consultants to senior leadership

  -- Formally mentor technology associates
