Jim DeMare is co-president of Bank of America and is a member of the company’s executive management team. DeMare jointly oversees all lines of business across the company’s four segments: Consumer, Wealth Management, Global Banking and Global Markets. These businesses serve the company’s more than 69 million consumer and small business customers, and more than 46,000 corporate and institutional clients, across the U.S and international markets. He is also jointly responsible for driving company-wide strategic initiatives focused on long-term growth and value creation. He also oversees the company’s industry-leading Global Research division and Bank of America Institute.
DeMare has more than three decades of financial services industry experience. Most recently he led Global Markets for Bank of America, which provides clients with a world-leading platform for sales and trading capabilities across debt, equity, commodity, and foreign exchanges markets globally. Under his transformative leadership, Global Markets significantly improved operational and financial performance, delivering higher returns for shareholders.
Prior to joining Bank of America in 2008, he held various management and senior trading positions in fixed income at other financial institutions.
DeMare serves as a member of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Advisory Board; a member of the Dean’s Council at Weill Cornell Medicine; and a trustee for Prep for Prep, a student leadership development program.
