Wendy Stewart is president of Global Commercial Banking for Bank of America and is a member of the company’s executive management team. In this role, Stewart leads approximately 2,000 professionals who deliver advice, valuable solutions, exceptional service and seamless experiences to public and private companies. The team offers expertise across numerous sectors including aerospace and defense, auto dealerships, commercial real estate, healthcare, higher education, nonprofit organizations, restaurants, professional sports teams/leagues and technology.

Stewart also leads Bank of America’s community development banking initiatives, driving debt and equity financing to create or preserve housing units for individuals or areas of need. 

Under Stewart’s leadership, Global Commercial Banking has been named the top Middle Market Bank in the U.S. by Greenwich and the World’s Best Bank for Small and Medium Enterprises by Euromoney.

With over 25 years of financial services industry experience, Stewart has held numerous Commercial Banking leadership positions at Bank of America and its predecessor organizations, driving a deep passion for helping the companies that fuel our economy to grow and prosper.

In 2025, Stewart was named to Barron’s list of the 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance for the second consecutive year and American Banker named her to their list of the Most Powerful Women in Banking for the third consecutive year.

Stewart serves in a variety of leadership roles in Atlanta and the broader community. She is on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Metro Atlanta Chamber, the Chastain Park Conservancy and the Atlanta Committee for Progress, where she leads workforce development efforts. Stewart is a director of the Buckhead Coalition and is a member of the University of Georgia Board of Visitors. She chairs the Grove Park Foundation capital campaign, tasked with raising $20 million for Atlanta’s Grove Park neighborhood.
